Yvonne Walser
I was born in Switzerland in 1971 and I am swiss-greek. I
was raised in Switzerland where I fnished my marketing studies.
I came in Geeece in 1994 and since then I have worked as a
german language teacher and as a tour guide in Kefalonia.
My outdoor activities related qualifications include REC (Rescue Emergency Care) Level 2, Tour Leader for Explore company, Red Cross first aid, and motor boat license. I am also one of the founding members of the first Greek Sea Kayak Club.
My passion is backpack travelling. I have visited countries
like Peru, Thailand, Vietnam, India, Nepal, China, Egupt,
South Africa, Uganda, Rwanda, Tanzania... I like getting deep
into the countries' culture and nature observing people and
animals.
My hobbies include trekking, biking, reading, etc. I speak
Greek, German, English, Spanish and some Italian and French.
Pavlos Georgilas
I was born in Greece in 1969. My studies include a bachelor
in electrical engineering and a master in business administration.
My working experience includes customer facing roles in big
multinational companies like Nestlé, Compaq Computers, Hewlett Packard.
In the past I was a water-polo player in one of Greece's
best teams. Since 1996, kayak (both sea and wild
water) is my passion. I am a member of the legendary TEAMadara,
a group of wild water kayakers with reach activity in the
greek and not only, rivers.
My outdoor activities related qualifications include BCU (British Canoe Union) 5 star test training and Level 2 Coach, Professional Lifeguard, REC (Rescue Emergency Care) Level 2, numerous wild water courses in Greece and the Alps, Tour Leader for Explore company, sailing license, motor boat license.
My other hobbies include sailing, apnea, astronomy (founding member of the Astronomy Club of Thessaloniki), etc.
I am also one of the founding members of the first Greek Sea Kayak Club. I speak Greek, English, Italian and some French.
As from 2008, our team has a new member. Welcome Shaun!
Shaun Rodgers
I was born in South Africa in 1973 where I lived until 2007, I studied photolithography which led me to an opportunity of partnership in a succesfull printing company which in addition to conventional printing specialised in marketing and printing for the music industry which was recognised throughout Africa and included multi-national clients like Sun International, EMI Records and many large independant African Record companies.
After the sale of the business, I pursued my passion for adventure sports and operated an adventure company in a remote region of Eastern South Africa which offered activities to local/ international private and corporate clients for 5 years. Being born in Africa, I have a passionate love affair with the
outdoors - I have participated in a large variety of adventure sports including paragliding, skydiving, surfing, enduro-motocross, 4x4
driving and instruction, trekking, kayaking, climbing, canyoning.
My lifestyle and activities have taken me through most countries in Southern Africa, parts of Europe, America, Asia and the Middle East.
I moved to Kefalonia-Greece in 2007 with my Greek wife and young family where I met Pavlos and Yvonne with whom I have no doubt, I will have a long and enjoyable working relationship with, guiding for and marketing MONTE NERO ACTIVITIES.
We are all very enthousiastic about running Monte Nero Activities.
